Harsha S. Reddy, MD, is the chief of ophthalmic plastic surgery, ophthalmology residency program director at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai(NYEEI-MS), and Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, face, orbit, and lacrimal system.
Dr. Reddy received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School after graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed ophthalmology residency and served on faculty at the Doheny Eye Institute/University of Southern California before completing a prestigious two-year oculoplastic surgery fellowship at the University of Washington. He is a fellow of the American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).
Dr. Reddy is the program director at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai(NYEE), the largest ophthalmology residency in the country. He received the Excellence in Resident Teaching Award at the Doheny Eye Institute and multiple teaching and microsurgical awards at NYEE. He was honored by his peers as a New York Super Doctor/Rising Star. His research has been published in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ophthalmology, and the New England Journal of Medicine, and he speaks at regional, national, and international scientific conferences.
Dr. Reddy founded a non-profit 501c(3) organization, Lokana.org, and has served overseas on medical trips to Rwanda, Nepal, India, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh. He is a voluntary faculty and surgeon for Orbis International. His interests include surgical techniques and education, medical humanities, history, photography, and storytelling. In 2026, he completed his first documentary film, Eternal Trees, Eternal Mountains about the Chenchu tribe in South India.
